Meet Our Team

Team GMVS

Dr. Jodyne Green

Jody’s journey into veterinary medicine began on a cow-calf operation in the tight-knit farming community of Fisher Branch, Manitoba. From a young age, she embraced a life surrounded by animals and agriculture as an active 4‑H Club participant—later earning the distinguished title of 4‑H Ambassador.

In 2002, Jody broadened her horizons during the W. Garfield Weston Foundation 4‑H UK Exchange, traveling to the rural United Kingdom to immerse herself in international agricultural practices. Back home, while pursuing an Agriculture degree at the University of Manitoba and competing in varsity Track and Field, she continued to build a strong foundation in both academics and athletics.

Jody advanced her passion for animal care at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with distinction and earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. After gaining invaluable experience as an Associate Veterinarian in a mixed animal practice for four years, she took a bold step in 2010 to launch a mobile, large animal practice—a venture that has since evolved into our full-service, mixed animal practice.

Outside the clinic, Jody is a true sports enthusiast. Whether she's playing hockey, golfing, swimming, bicycling, or competing in triathlons, her active lifestyle mirrors the energy and dedication she brings to her work. Her love for beef cattle and farming is evident when she shares stories about her personal herd and her family’s farming legacy. At home, she enjoys every moment with her beloved Standard Poodle, Tam.

Marilyn Ireland

Marilyn is the steady force that keeps our clinic running smoothly. She began her journey with Dr. Green in 2010 by providing essential business support and structure. In 2012, her natural knack for organization led to her official role at the clinic, where she leads our team.

A proud mom to two wonderful sons and a doting grandmother, Marilyn brings a warm, family-first attitude to everything she does. At home, she shares life’s adventures with her husband, Kelly, and their lively Standard Poodle, Scout.

When she's not making our clinic thrive, Marilyn’s boundless energy finds her hitting the hockey rink, cycling scenic routes, teeing off on the golf course, or getting lost in a good book. Her dynamic spirit and genuine enthusiasm make her not just a key team member but also a beloved friend to our community.

Katie has loved animals of every size for as long as she can remember and plans to pursue a career as an RVT after high school. At home, she dotes on her two loud, lovable large‑breed dogs and a very opinionated guinea pig who happily adds to the household chaos.

A true horse girl, Katie grew up with a giant, sassy Clydesdale mare who taught her to appreciate horse slobber, zero personal space, and the joy of being a walking scratching post.

When she’s not working with animals, you’ll find her volunteering with the Prince George Rodeo Association, practicing her roping skills at the arena, or at the archery range shooting barebow with impressive accuracy.

After living all over BC, Katie is excited to start her next adventure with the GMVS team and continue building her future in animal care.
